The Development, Adaptation and Ageing (Dev2A) Laboratory of the Institut de Biologie Paris Seine (IBPS, Sorbonne Université, Paris) is seeking to recruit two talented group leaders.
One of the two positions is specifically targeted at plant biology.
IBPS is a leading center for fundamental interdisciplinary research in biology located in the science and engineering campus of Sorbonne University at the very heart of Paris. Within IBPS, the Dev2A lab comprises 18 research groups studying development, ageing and adaptation throughout life, at multiple scales and using a variety of animal and plant models coupled with integrated, quantitative and interdisciplinary approaches.
IBPS benefits from a lively collaborative scientific environment, supported by excellent core facilities providing state-of-the-art light and electron microscopy, protein engineering, bioinformatics, as well as plant and rodent and aquatic animal facilities.
The two appointed group leaders will initiate innovative projects complementary to the research fields currently covered at Dev2A. The applicants will be selected based on their scientific excellence and their potential to integrate and synergize with existing research within the Dev2A lab and the institute. Successful candidates are expected to secure funding for their research and obtain a position at the CNRS, Inserm or Sorbonne Université if they do not already have one. The Institute can provide guidance with these steps.
